Profile
Builder, educator, and applied researcher. Co-founder and Director of Ciudad Bilingüe (Colombia, 2015–present), a bilingual school where I have designed, taught, and iteratively refined original English-language curricula for children from age four, training and supervising over one hundred staff across two locations. Founder of Talky (2020–present), an audio-first, AI-native language-learning platform approaching launch, with companion hardware and XR prototyping underway. A First Class BSc in Mobile Communications Engineering from the University of Westminster and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Wales, together with a former Innovate UK-funded KTP research role, ground the work in applied-research discipline. My construction medium is AI-assisted development — LLMs, agentic workflows, speech and sensing pipelines — treated as a first-class design surface rather than a substitute for hand-written code. The arc from cleaner at Westminster to First Class Honours in the same building remains a formative part of how I think about learning, access, and persistence.

Working stance. I design and build primarily through AI-assisted development — LLMs, agentic systems, speech and sensing pipelines — treated as a first-class construction medium rather than a substitute for hand-coded implementation. This lets me move from pedagogical or design intent to a working system at the speed modern applied research demands, while keeping systems, curriculum, and hardware as one integrated problem.

Awards & Honours
First Class Honours — University of Westminster
Achieved through perseverance and self-directed growth: arrived in London in 2001 without a word of English, took the first job I could find — cleaning floors at the University of Westminster — and learned the language on-site the way a child does. Seven years later I graduated with First Class Honours in Mobile Communications Engineering from that same building. The arc remains a formative part of how I think about learning, access, and persistence.
Research & Professional Interests
- Responsible XR and multimodal interaction for young children — especially audio-first and non-visual modalities, with wearable haptics and gesture-based sensing layered onto the child's real-world environment rather than replacing it.
- AI-native language acquisition systems — adaptive difficulty, pedagogically-aligned speech evaluation, emotion-aware coaching.
- Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) — Talky as a live testbed for applied research at real scale.
- Language for Specific Purposes (LSP) at scale — Talky's eight Professional English tracks (Business, Interview, Tourism, Aviation, Legal, Medical, Engineering, Nursing).
- Longitudinal outcome measurement in applied pedagogy — a decade of classroom data from Ciudad Bilingüe as an empirical foundation for forthcoming academic work.
